Who We Are:

The Breast Health Foundation (BHF) is a registered South African non-profit organisation.
Founded in 2002 by passionate advocates including Prof Carol-Ann Benn, BHF is committed to ensuring that no woman walks her breast cancer journey alone, regardless of where she receives treatment.

What We Do

Awareness – Reaching Communities Early

Raise community awareness of breast health to encourage early detection

Education – Building Health Capacity

Train nurses, community health workers, traditional healers and healthcare professionals to identify, triage and refer patients appropriately

Support – Navigating the Journey Together

Support patients and their families through navigation and psychosocial care from diagnosis to survivorship.

Over the past 6 years Breast Health Foundation has:

across SA on breast health, warning signs, and breast self-examination.

This outreach has led to

 9 500

breast health concerns

being identified and referred to public health clinics for diagnostic screening.

As a result

breast cancer Patients

have been navigated and supported through their breast cancer journey.
